Paris Opera House
The interior of the historic Paris Opera House. This grand lady of performance houses was designed by Charles Garnier in a Neo-Baroque style and is regarded as an architectural masterpiece. It is known by many names such as The Palais Garnier, Opéra de Paris or Opéra Garnier, but more commonly just Paris Opéra. Since a new Paris Opera House has been built (Bastille Opera), this famous performance house is used today primarly for ballet. However some operas are still performed here. My photograph shows the performance house in preparation for a ballet.
