Peter Dean Beckdesigned the set and the lighting design was by Nicholas Cavallaro.These photographs were taken while Cavallaro and opera director HarrySilverstein were collaborating on fine tuning the lighting for theproduction with the assistance of stand-ins.

My old high school and university acting buddy, Joe Psuik, (stage left/house right) performs in a Brigham Young University production of "You Can't Take It With You". He has since worked in several areas—stage, film, sports production, etc. And he has worked for IATSE Local 16 in San Francisco, taught theatre in Denver, was a member of IATSE Local 816 in Los Angeles as a scenic designer, and local 829 in New York as a lighting designer and scenic artist.

San Francisco's Curran Theatre (right) and the Geary Theatre (left).
The historic Curran Theatre opened in 1922 and has been one ofCalifornia’s most successful Broadway theaters ever since. Its roots goback to New York City and the famous Shubert brothers, who were lookingto expand their holdings across the country and break the monopoly ofthe Theatrical Syndicate, which at the time controlled most of thebookings and theatrical productions. So the Shuberts teamed with HomerCurran and helped raise nearly $1 million to build a Broadway-qualitytheater in San Francisco.
Geary History. The Geary Theatre is also the home of the Theatre Department of the College of Eastern Utah in Price, UT.

In London's East End, we had just left the theatre after seeing "The Lion King." Then it occurred to me that I wanted a photograph of the but had not brought my Nikon. I did, however have my Treo 650 with a built-in camera. The lighting was terrible and I did the best I could to hand-hold this shot. Oh well.

Interesting information about this theatre, the first one to be lit by gas.

My brother (we share the same mother) Charlie Harman picks the blues with the Harry Lee band as Harry blows harmonica at the Dead Goat Saloon in Salt Lake City. My brother's old band Rhumboogie was voted the second-best blues band in Utah by City Magazine and later he was the founder of Nick Greco's Blues on First. He is presently what I think musicians call between bands.
